Boston Jam Session

Boston Jam Session – Old Man from Far From Home Productions on Vimeo.

Last weekend my mom and I went up to Boston to celebrate my sister graduating from New England Law | Boston. The commencement was held at the Wang Theater which was a very nice place. A ton of good bands play there and I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for sweet acts in the future. Mom and I stayed at a hotel in downtown Boston and we went to Page’s apartment on the last day. She lives in Brookline in a very cool spot. She’s literally got a few Chinese places, 7-Eleven, beer/wine shop, laundry mat, the Publick House and much more within a minute walk. Super cool. Anyhow, we jammed for a while and above is a video on a song I wrote, dubbed “Old Man”. Hope you enjoy it.

Old Growth String Band

Here’s a short video I put together from a few weeks ago at El Burrito.  It’s Old Growth String Band straight out of Columbia, SC.  I messed around with some time-lapse.  I recorded the audio with my Rode Video mic which actually turned out half way decent.  Enjoy the video and come out to Bluegrass @ El Burrito every Thursday night!

Extra songs from Radiohead’s “King of Limbs”

Lucero

If you like alt country music, you’ll love this band. Originating from Memphis, they infuse their music with that sweet southern soul.  Front man Ben Nichols has a raspy voice that you’ll grow to love.  Since 2001, they’ve put out several albums.  So far my two favorite albums are That Much Further West and Rebels, Rogues & Sworn Brothers.  This band is definitely on my list to see when they come around.  Here are a few songs to get ya started:
